Fra ‘Los Valentinos’ til ‘New Valentinos’
New Valentinos har rødder i studiebandet Los Valentinos, der opstod i midten af 1970’erne. Los Valentinos nåede at udgive 10 LP’er, deltage i adskillige TV-Shows, bl.a. Melodi Grand Prix i 1982 og turnere Danmark rundt som backing band for bl.a. Laban og Keld & Hilda Heick.
Mest kendt var Los Valentinos måske for kendingsmelodien Telstar til radioprogrammet ‘Fanfare’.
I dag består New Valentinos repertoire, udover de kendte instrumentalnumre i Shadows-stil, af 50’er til 80’er pop, rock og soulmusik, med bl.a. Beach Boys, Elvis, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Eric Clapton og Cliff Richard. Alt sammen udført med 3-stemmig vokal og høj guitarføring.
